What to Do When Waxing Results in Ingrown Hairs

No matter how good you are at waxing yourself and how carefully you apply your GiGi wax or whatever your favorite brand is, you may end up with a nasty ingrown hair problem a few weeks later. Ingrown hairs irritate the skin as they try and make their way through to the surface and you can end up with a very annoying rash. Here are three things you can do to help yourself when you suffer the irritation of ingrown hairs after waxing.

Firstly you can try to gently ease the hairs out with a pair of pointed and clean tweezers. (Sterilize with a bit of antiseptic solution first to avoid further problems)

Secondly you can try and help the ingrowing hairs work their way through the skin by softening the skin with hot compresses several times a day for 10 minutes at a time.

Thirdly avoid anything which will irritate the area further while you have the problem รข?? for example avoid tight underwear which can rub and irritate the region and also don’t exfoliate as you can make the problem worse.
